We can help you cut through the red tape.
HealthCare.gov now acts as our state’s health exchange. These entities were mandated by the Patient Protection & Affordability Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare. There are two distinct sections of HealthCare.gov, one is for individuals/families and the other is businesses (commonly referred to as SHOP). We can’t stress enough that you need to engage an agent to be your advisor through this process. You do not pay any extra by having an agent, but you will make wiser decisions and experience a smoother process.
As an individual/family you will first need to determine if you qualify for a tax credit. Here is a link to a calculator to help you determine if you should complete the financial application listed below. Before you review plans you should know the amount of tax credit you will be receiving.
If you are looking for coverage for your small business (50 employees or less) we recommend that you complete a census and return it to us (fax 1-888-363-0908 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org ) and we can get to work checking rates in and out of HealthCare.gov. Some of the plans will qualify for a tax credit if your business is eligible. To determine if your business qualifies, you should contact your accountant.
Owners of businesses with more than 50 full time employees are required to have a health plan in place or pay a fine.
Our team looks forward to working with you.
